Kona International Airport Parking

Kona International Airport at Keahole has one single parking lot with parking spaces available for both short and long term parking, plus a Cell Phone Lot where greeters can wait for arriving passengers to get ready for pick-up.

An automatic ticket dispenser will issue a parking ticket at the entrance of the parking area which you present to the cashier at the time of exit. There are self-service drive-up kiosks available. Accepted forms of payment are cash or major credit card. Checks are not accepted.

The fee for lost tickets is a minimum of $15.00.

Monthly parking is based on calendar months and costs $160 and may be purchased from the 22nd of each month.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking spaces are available in the main parking lot across the street from the terminal for persons holding valid placards.

Electric Vehicle Parking

Parking stalls reserved for use by EV are available in the main parking lot across the street from the terminal including a charging station for two electric vehicles. Currently the rate for using the charging station is $7.00 for 24 hours.

Cell Phone Waiting Lot

The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is located near the International Arrivals Building just minutes away from the airport terminal. This is a place where greeters can wait for free for the traveler to be ready for pick-up outside the airport, once they have collected their luggage. There is a one hour limit on staying here, and vehicles are not to be left unattended. There are signs showing the way to the cell phone lot.

Parking rates

The first 15 minutes is considered a grace period and is free of charge, but if parking for 16 minutes or more the first half hour, from minute 0, is $1.00, followed by $2.00 for the following half hour, meaning that parking for the first hour is $3.00. After the first hour each hour is $2.00 up until the 5th hour which is $4.00, while the 6th hour again is $2.00. After 6 hours the daily maximum of $15.00 is reached.

Every started hour is seen as a full hour, meaning that if you are parked for 3,5 hours you will pay the fee for 4 hours of parking which would be a total of $9.00 in parking fees as it moves past the 3 hour mark.

Over 6 hours is considered a full day and each day is $15.00.
